A legacy shaped over decades, the Dhanak family’s journey began in the 1930s, when Mr. Shamaldas Dhanak established a gold jewellery retail venture in Savli, near Baroda - laying the foundation for a tradition rooted in craftsmanship and integrity. This was carried forward by Mr. Babubhai Dhanak, who, in 1960s Mumbai, built a reputation for finely handcrafted jewellery defined by precision, skill, and trust. The business soon expanded to Bahrain in 1975, before returning to Mumbai in 1990, marking a pivotal phase of growth.

In 2001, he established a RUCOS® (Rosecut and Uncut Open Setting) diamond jewellery unit - among the earliest of its kind- leveraging his deep expertise in machinery and technology to introduce a distinctive alternative to conventional full-cut diamonds. This innovation significantly elevated the company’s presence, defining a specialised category in rose cut and uncut diamond jewellery while setting new industry benchmarks.

Starting in 2002 with corporate clients in Dubai, the business expanded across national corporations in India and later into independent retail networks.
